Staff Contract Options
Whatever the role, you can count on us to supply well-briefed, professional and motivated people that will help you achieve your organisation’s objectives. If you are unsure of which contract type is right for you, take a look at some of the options below.
Temporary
If you require last-minute or contracted staff to help out with demand, whether it’s due to peaks in business or holiday cover, our high quality candidates can help. The length of the assignment is dependant on your requirements, long or short-term.
Using temps can increase flexibility and reduce overall staff costs. If you would like to discuss any cover requirements that may come up in the future, please get in touch today as we can help you plan ahead and manage this correctly.
Temporary – Permanent
Temp to Perm or ‘Try Before You Buy’ – this is a perfect opportunity to let us source and place an employee on a 12 week temp to perm basis, having gone through all of the advertising, interviewing, vetting and selection process on your behalf.
You take the candidate for 12 weeks and at the end of that contract period, they transfer onto your payroll with NO extra fee. It’s a great chance for both employer and employee to get to know one another before committing to a permanent employment contract.
Permanent
Recruiting for a new, permanent member of the team can sometimes be time-consuming and expensive. As we’re experts in the logistics industry, we use a variety of channels and connections in order to find the right person for your business. Our thorough process means we will ensure we get the best candidate for the job by identifying skills requirements, but also the type of person who would flourish in your company.
We are able to call upon our extensive database for suitable candidates, carry out all pre-screening, interviewing and any assessments required on your behalf before we organise interviews convenient for both you and your potential new team member.
This entire process which involves advertising, screening and assessing is of no extra cost to you – in fact, you don’t pay any fee until the right candidate has commenced their new job with you.

Driver CPC Training
Driver Hire is one of the UK’s leading providers of Driver CPC Training. We offer 20 different JAUPT approved course subjects with interactive and engaging content and have course satisfaction ratings of 93%*
Whether you are a driver who needs to keep up to date with your 35 hours of Driver CPC Training or a company with drivers who need to undertake this, we can help you with your requirements.
The Driver CPC is for professional LGV and PCV drivers. It is a requirement of EU Directive 2003/59, which is designed to improve the knowledge and skills of drivers, and enhance safety on our roads.

All professional drivers, driving ‘for hire and reward’ (on licence categories C, C1, C+E or C1+E for goods vehicles) are now required to have completed their Driver CPC and must carry a Driver Qualification Card (DQC) at all times when driving professionally.
Driver CPC training is an ongoing requirement. The DQC is valid for five years, and having gained their card, all drivers must undertake 35 hours’ periodic training during those five years, or they will not be permitted to renew their card.
Training must be undertaken in 7-hour blocks and the best way for any driver to meet their obligations is to spread their training over several years.
To find out more give us a call on 01592 770 037 or visit our training website for further information, including courses available in your area.
