Driver Hire Bridgwater & Taunton is recruiting reliable and experienced Van Drivers to support our local clients during busy periods.
We have flexible opportunities available for drivers looking for part-time work, additional shifts or potentially full-time hours as demand increases.
The Role
This is not parcel delivery or high-volume multidrop work. You will be completing local delivery and collection runs, typically involving up to 10 drops per day, depending on the route.
Duties may include:
Driving a range of vehicles, from small wheelbase (SWB) to long wheelbase (LWB) vans
Operating vehicles fitted with tail lifts
Completing local deliveries and collections
Loading and unloading when required
Supporting local businesses during busy periods
Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and professionally
Working Hours
We have a variety of shifts available, including:
Early shifts: Starts from 6:00am
Late shifts: Starts from 5:00pm
Weekday and weekend opportunities
Part-time work with potential for full-time hours
Hours will vary depending on client requirements, making this an ideal opportunity for drivers looking for flexibility or additional earnings.
Pay Rates
Standard Pay: £13.00 per hour
Overtime Rate: £15.50 per hour
Weekend Work: Enhanced rates available
Weekly PAYE payments
Requirements
To be considered, applicants must have:
Full UK driving licence
Comfortable with manual handling
Minimum 2 years’ commercial van driving experience
Must be aged 25 or over due to our clients’ vehicle insurance requirements
Own transport essential due to early and late start times and client locations
Confidence driving different sizes of commercial vans
A reliable, flexible and professional attitude
