DRIVER HIRE CELEBRATES DOUBLE RECORD WEEK AS UK NETWORK PASSES £3M AND AUSTRALIA REACHES A$1M
Specialist logistics recruiter records simultaneous first-ever weekly turnover milestones across Driver Hire UK and Driver Hire Australia businesses.
Driver Hire has achieved a double trading milestone, with its UK business recording weekly turnover of more than £3m for the first time, while Driver Hire Australia exceeded A$1m in the same trading week.
Both brands are part of the SPS Group, and are specialist logistics recruitment businesses operating across the UK and Australian markets. The record week comes as the group remains on track to exceed £165m in annual network turnover this year, underlining the continued strength of the business across both its UK and Australian operations.
The figures represent record weekly performances across the network of more than 100 Driver Hire offices in the UK and 12 locations in Australia. They continue a series of strong trading performances across the group’s operations, outpacing the general recruitment markets in both territories.
Driver Hire is a leading logistics recruitment brand in both markets, supplying temporary and permanent drivers and other logistics staff to organisations across the public and private sectors.
Commenting on the achievement, Chief Executive Chris Chidley said:
“Reaching £3m turnover in a single week in the UK is a landmark achievement for Driver Hire. To see our Australian business record its first-ever $1m week in the same trading week makes this a particularly proud moment for the group.”
“These milestones reflect an enormous team effort across both countries: the commitment of our colleagues, the loyalty of our customers and the hard work of thousands of temporary workers who represent Driver Hire every day.”
“While we are proud of our 40-plus year history, we are focused on the future. Continued investment in online recruitment tools, technology and innovation is helping our offices connect more effectively with customers and candidates, ensuring Driver Hire continues to evolve with the needs of employers and jobseekers.”
“These results give us confidence that there is still significant potential for further growth in both markets, supported by improved productivity and our ability to help customers navigate ever-changing compliance obligations.”
