Looking for flexible HGV work that offers variety, hands-on activity, and a strong team atmosphere?
Driver Hire Edinburgh City is recruiting a Class 2 (Category C) HGV Driver to support one of our well-respected removals and relocation clients.
This is an ad-hoc role, ideal for drivers who value flexibility. We can also provide access to additional driving work across our wider client network to help maintain a consistent workload.
Our removals clients are known for their high professional standards and supportive working environments. They’re looking for drivers who are reliable, practical, and take pride in delivering excellent service.
This position suits someone who enjoys staying active, meeting new people, and working closely with a dependable, hard-working team.
🔧 Key Responsibilities

Driving a Class 2 vehicle in and around Edinburgh, with occasional UK-wide work

Assisting with the safe loading and unloading of furniture and household goods

Supporting customers during their move at an important time

Working alongside an experienced removals team to ensure smooth relocations

Handling all items with care, professionalism, and attention to detail
✅ What You’ll Need

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence

Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card

Good physical fitness, with regular manual handling involved

A positive, team-focused approach

Previous removals experience beneficial but not essential — full training provided
