Class 2 (Cat C) Driver – Ongoing Work with Temp-to-Perm Potential | Edinburgh
📍 Location: Edinburgh
🕒 Start Times (Alternating Rota) – Edinburgh West
Start date: Early February 2026 | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
Week 1: 11:00am starts, Monday to Friday
Week 2: 8:00am Sunday start, followed by 11:00am starts Monday to Thursday/Friday
🕒 Start Times (Alternating Rota) – Edinburgh East
Start date: Late February 2026 | Ongoing until late June 2026
Week 1: 8:00am starts, Monday to Friday
Week 2: 8:00am starts, Monday to Saturday
➕ Additional Shift Opportunities (Both Locations)
Additional shifts are available on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, including holiday cover. Start times for these shifts will be 7:00am or 11:00am, depending on operational requirements.
💰 Pay Rates
• Monday–Friday: £14.50 PAYE / £16.25 PAYE Advanced
• Overtime (after 8 hours): £21.00 PAYE / £23.53 PAYE Advanced
• Saturday: £21.00 PAYE / £23.53 PAYE Advanced
• Sunday: £28.00 PAYE / £31.38 PAYE Advanced
✅ Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift
✅ Weekly pay plus holiday accrual (unless PAYE Advanced is chosen)
Driver Hire Edinburgh City are pleased to offer an excellent opportunity for a Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join one of our long-established clients based in Edinburgh West and Edinburgh East.
This role offers ongoing work with a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity, making it ideal for drivers seeking consistent hours, competitive pay, and a supportive working environment.

🚚 Key Responsibilities
• Operating a Class 2 vehicle to complete multi-drop deliveries across Edinburgh and surrounding areas
• Working alongside a driver’s mate to assist with loading, unloading, and heavier deliveries
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time
• Completing daily vehicle checks and all required paperwork accurately
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery point
✅ Requirements
• Full UK Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Maximum of 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Minimum of 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
