Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting experienced and professional Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to support a variety of well-established clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

🚛 The Role
- Trunking and palletised distribution work
- Delivering and collecting goods between depots, distribution centres, and customer locations
- Completing vehicle safety checks and defect reporting
- Accurately completing delivery paperwork and records
- Adhering to all road transport legislation and health & safety requirements
- Minimal manual handling on the majority of assignments
🕒 Shift Patterns Available
✔ Day shifts
✔ Back shifts
✔ Night shifts available
✔ Weekday and weekend work
✔ Flexible scheduling based on your availability
✔ Typical shift lengths of 8–12 hours
💰 Pay Rates
PAYE
- £15.50 per hour
- £20.66 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
- £17.37 per hour
- £23.15 per hour after 8 hours
✅ Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift
✅ Weekly pay
✅ Overtime opportunities available
✅ Holiday pay included within PAYE Advanced rates
✅ Requirements
- Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum of 9 penalty points with no major endorsements
- Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred
- Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious approach
