Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting an experienced Van Driver on behalf of a well-established food production and retail client based in Edinburgh.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional driver looking for ongoing work, with the possibility of securing a permanent position.

The Role

• Delivering fresh products to retail stores and bakery locations across Scotland
• Completing vehicle checks before each shift
• Loading and unloading products as required
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Completing all relevant paperwork accurately

Working Pattern

• 4 days over 7
• 3:00am start times
• Approx. 8–10 hour shifts
• Ongoing work for around 12 weeks
• Potential for a permanent role for the right candidate

Pay Rates

PAYE Advanced rates are inclusive of holiday pay.

What We’re Looking For

• Full UK Category B driving licence
• Minimum 12 months commercial van driving experience preferred
• Previous multidrop delivery experience would be advantageous
• Good geographical knowledge of Scotland
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability
• Ability to work independently and manage early morning starts
• Good level of physical fitness

Licence Requirements

Applicants must:

• Hold a valid UK Category B driving licence
• Have no more than 6 penalty points for minor offences
• Have no DR, DD, CD, IN or DG endorsements
• Be able to provide work references
• Pass licence and right-to-work checks
