Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support a busy and well-established client operating across both Edinburgh East and West depots.

Whether you’re looking for flexible ad hoc shifts to fit around your schedule or a steady full-time position with long-term potential, we have excellent opportunities available right now.

🕒 Available Opportunities

📍 Edinburgh West – Flexible Ad Hoc Shifts

• Work offered on an as-and-when basis
• Typical 7:00am start times
• Ideal for drivers seeking flexibility and extra shifts

📍 Edinburgh East – Ongoing Full-Time Role

• Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays
• Consistent 8:00am starts
• Regular ongoing work with long-term opportunities

➕ Additional shifts may also become available across both depots depending on business demands.

🚚 The Role

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle completing multi-drop deliveries
• Working alongside a driver’s mate to assist with deliveries and unloading
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times

💰 Pay Rates

PAYE

• £14.70 per hour
• £19.60 per hour after 8 hours

PAYE Advanced

• £16.47 per hour
• £21.96 per hour after 8 hours

✅ Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift
✅ Weekly pay
✅ Overtime opportunities available

✅ Requirements

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Maximum 9 penalty points
  (No DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
• Minimum 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience preferred
• Reliable, professional, and hardworking attitude
