Driver Hire Gatwick is looking for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to fill an excellent opportunity with one of our well-established clients based in Guildford. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering office supplies to commercial customers across local areas, the South East, and occasionally into London.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete 10–20 deliveries per day
- Monday to Friday, starting from 08:00 am (finish times may vary depending on route)
- Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle
- Deliver goods efficiently while providing excellent customer service
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Ensure all goods are loaded, secured, and transported safely
- Comply with all driving regulations, including Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive rules
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
- Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred
- Must live within 10 miles of Guildford
- Own transport to and from work
- Available Monday to Friday
- Comfortable driving in and around London and the South East
- Good communication and customer service skills
