Driver Hire has been operating for 40 years and over time we have built a solid and growing business.
We’re proud of what we have achieved together in this time and are looking forward to the future.
The company enjoyed another record year in 2022/23, which not only reflects the strength of the Driver Hire business but also that of the wider SPS group, and our prospects are strong.
We can be confident about our future, but we believe that great businesses do not rest on their laurels.
Building success
Driver Hire has consistently increased turnover over the years. We recovered strongly from the impact of the pandemic and reached an all-time record of more than £115m in 2021/22. It is not just the quality of our people and new business wins that have helped us reach this point, but our continued focus on strengthening relationships with existing key customers, too.
Right place, right time
We are an industry leader and our unique business proposition continues to strengthen our position in the market. This, combined with the ongoing growth of the transport and logistics sectors, and our investment in innovation and new technologies, is helping to fuel our expansion.
Investing in expansion
We remain committed to growing our office network and recruiting the best entrepreneurial, independent staff and managers who can develop and grow, and share in our success. We are also dedicated to further enhancing our Australia business and in 2021 we opened our eighth office, in Melbourne North.
For me, our people are my number one priority and a positive working culture is the foundation of our success. Not only does creating a great place to work help us to keep the best talent, it means our customers receive the best service. This is why we’re committed to investing in talent, and why 96% of our people are proud to work here.
Driver Hire is in a truly enviable position, particularly as part of the wider SPS group, and I fully expect another stellar performance from the business in 2022/23.
