A great place to work

Investors in People

Driver Hire Group Services is accredited by the leading independent business culture assessment organisation, ‘Investors in People’ (IIP). Driver Hire was first IIP accredited in 1995 and has maintained its marque ever since.

IIP was launched in 1991 with the aim of ‘making work better’. Driver Hire was one of its early adopters. ‘Investors in People’ look at nine separate activities within a business, covering leadership, support and continuous improvement. In this short video, Claire Elliott (HR Manager, Group Services) explains what it means to us and how Driver Hire’s IIP benchmark scores compare to the industry average.

Great Place To Work®

We have always believed that Driver Hire is a fantastic place to work – and we are not the only ones who think so.

Great Place to Work® ranked Driver Hire Group Services 43rd in its 2018 list of the top Medium businesses with the best workplace environments and cultures in the UK – up 8 places from our debut at the awards in 2017. This is a great accolade and proof of our commitment to both our workplace and our people.

Driver Hire was recognised along with just 127 other UK organisations which made the shortlist, and only 66 in the medium category. The award recognises our culture of integrity, respect and determination, highlights our commitment to the welfare and development of our workforce and the pride that our employees take in being ‘Driver Hire People’.

Taking part in the survey also helps us to get even better by identifying areas in which we can further improve our workplace. We will continue to invest in people and practices to make sure Driver Hire continues to be one of the best workplaces in the UK.

Proud to work for Driver Hire

We perform an annual satisfaction survey across the business to find out how happy our employees, customers and candidates are to work with Driver Hire.

The answers speak for themselves – 98% of our customers rate our service as either good or excellent, and 99% of our office-based employees said they are proud to work for Driver Hire.

Even more impressive is the feedback from our candidates – those not directly employed by Driver Hire but who we place into jobs – with 95% saying they are proud to work for us.

The temporary contracts we supply may only be for a short amount of time, even a matter of weeks, so for our candidates to feel such affinity with our business is a testament to the positive culture that we nurture.

We’re proud of our Network and the offices which we have across the UK, take a look at this video, which showcases just a few of them and what it’s like being part of the Driver Hire team.
