Driver Hire Nottingham & Mansfield is recruiting an experienced Class 1 (HGV C+E) Night Driver for one of our clients, a leading manufacturer and supplier of temporary and permanent concrete and steel safety barriers, alongside vehicle restraint systems.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with an established business, delivering essential safety products to construction sites, roadworks and road closures across the Midlands.

The Role
As a Class 1 Night Driver, you will be responsible for transporting safety barriers and vehicle restraint systems to various locations across the Midlands.
Your duties will include:
- Driving a Class 1 HGV safely and professionally.
- Delivering concrete and steel safety barriers to construction sites and road closures.
- Transporting products to locations where roadworks and other projects are taking place.
- Ensuring loads are transported safely and securely.
- Completing vehicle checks and all relevant delivery paperwork.
- Following health and safety procedures at all times.
- Maintaining a professional approach when dealing with customers and site personnel.
What’s on Offer?
- Assignment rates starting from £21.00 per hour.
- Overtime paid after 8 hours worked daily.
- Monday to Friday working pattern.
- Night shifts with an 18:00 start.
- Deliveries across the Midlands.
- Opportunity for regular, ongoing agency work.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must:
- Hold a valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience.
- Hold an in-date Driver CPC qualification.
- Hold an in-date Digital Tachograph Card.
- Provide proof of your right to work in the UK.
- Have a strong understanding of road safety and driving regulations.
- Be reliable, punctual and professional.
- Be comfortable working at construction sites and road closure locations.
