Working Hours: 06:00 to 16:00 (46.25 hours per week) Monday to Friday (hours are flexible to the needs of business)
Saturday: On rota basis, 1 in 4 typically – 08:00 – 12:00
Bank Holidays: On rota basis
Pay Rate: £18.22 p/h (Approx. £43,000 PA)
Lorries: Scania’s / DAF – Manual
Class 1 Driver RORO – Temp to Perm
Our client, leading processor and recycler of WEEE waste in the UK based in Newbury, is currently looking for Class 1 driver to add to their team.
Main Duties:
• Collect, deliver and exchange RO-RO bins, travelling between clients and 3 operational sites.
• Following driving routes provided by Transport Department.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects to the Transport Manager immediately.
• To complete all paperwork accurately in a timely manner.
• Parking of all vehicles at the end of the day.
• Making sure the cab of your lorry is always clean and tidy.
• Keep in regular contact with the transport manager, yard managers and weighbridge operators at each site.
Requirements:
• Class 1 Driving Licence (Minimum 2 years) – required
• Must hold a Drivers CPC Licence
• RO-RO /Wagon & Drag experience – desirable, however training will be provided
• You must have good problem-solving skills
• Effective communication, both orally and in writing, is essential
• You will also have an excellent phone manner
• You must always look presentable as the role is customer facing
• Fluent English is required
