Driver Hire Leeds West is a specialist temporary recruitment agency focused on logistics and transport, supplying businesses with drivers and other staff to help keep their operations moving. As part of the Driver Hire network, we work closely with local businesses to match the right people to the right jobs.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Recruitment Consultant to join our friendly team. No previous recruitment experience is needed — we’ll provide the training, support and practical experience to help you succeed.
What will you be doing?
This is a varied, hands-on role covering the full recruitment process, known as 360 recruitment. You’ll develop both the people skills and commercial skills needed to build a successful recruitment career.
- Finding, interviewing and registering candidates, including licence and compliance checks.
- Visiting local businesses, developing relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
- Understanding clients’ staffing needs and matching suitable candidates to jobs.
- Managing job adverts, bookings and day-to-day staffing requirements.
- Keeping clients and candidates informed and building lasting relationships.
- Supporting marketing, social media and recruitment administration.
- Learning our out-of-hours procedures, with involvement in the on-call rota only when trained and confident.
What we’re looking for
- A friendly, professional and confident communicator.
- Someone organised, reliable and attentive to detail.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and confidence taking the initiative.
- Comfortable using IT, Microsoft Office and social media.
- A team player who wants to develop their independence and commercial skills.
Experience in customer service, sales or working with people would be useful, but enthusiasm and the right attitude matter most.
