Driver Hire Edinburgh West is looking to register experienced HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers for a range of assignments with clients across West Lothian.
Whether you’re looking for occasional shifts around other commitments or want the flexibility of working when you’re available, we have a variety of driving opportunities to suit different experience and preferences.

📦 Typical Assignments
Depending on the client and role, you could be involved in:
- Trunking, single-drop and multi-drop deliveries
- General haulage and pallet network work
- A–B vehicle movements
- Loading and unloading goods where required
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Completing relevant paperwork
- Complying with drivers’ hours and transport legislation
- Following all company, health & safety and compliance procedures
📋 What You’ll Need
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 1 year’s Class 1 driving experience – essential
- Maximum 6 penalty points – minor offences only
- No IN, DD, DR or CD endorsements
- Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and transport regulations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work
💷 Pay Rates
PAYE Basic: £15.50 per hour + holiday pay accrued
PAYE Advanced: £17.37 per hour
