Driver Hire Edinburgh West is recruiting reliable and compassionate Minibus Drivers to support a local transport provider in Bathgate.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help older passengers travel safely and comfortably between their homes and local day centres, providing an important service that helps passengers remain independent and connected to their community.
🚐 About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Safely transporting passengers between their homes and local day centres
- Providing a friendly, patient and respectful service
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring the minibus remains clean, safe and roadworthy
- Supporting passengers throughout their journey where required
⏰ Hours of Work
This is ad hoc work, so hours are not guaranteed.
- Monday to Friday
- Morning: approximately 8:00am–10:00am
- Afternoon: approximately 2:00pm–4:00pm
- Shift times may vary depending on service requirements
📋 What You’ll Need
- Category D1 licence with no 101 restriction
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- PVG Disclosure dated within the last 3 years
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, professional and compassionate approach
- Maximum 6 penalty points – minor offences only
- No CD, DD, DR or IN endorsements
