💷 Pay Rates:
• £14.50 per hour PAYE
• £16.25 per hour PAYE Advanced
• Overtime after 8 hours: £19.32 per hour PAYE
• Overtime after 8 hours: £21.66 per hour PAYE Advanced

Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Plant Driver for a well-established client based in East Lothian on an ad hoc basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional driver looking for flexible work.
🚜 The Role:
• Transporting plant machinery and equipment to customer sites throughout East Lothian and the surrounding areas
• Loading, securing and unloading plant equipment safely and efficiently
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
• Providing excellent customer service while representing the company professionally
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on schedule
🕒 Working Hours:
• Monday to Friday
• Early starts available
• Overtime opportunities available
• Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift
✅ Requirements:
• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous plant machinery transport experience is essential
• Experience operating and securing plant equipment
• Good knowledge of load security regulations
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements)
