Highway Code & Spotting Hazards

Many of the rules in the Highway Code are legal requirements, so if you disobey these you are committing a criminal offence.

The Highway Code was first published in 1931 to give practical advice to road users, while aiming to reduce the number of road casualties. Over 80 years later, it has grown to 136 pages and now includes a broad range of information and rules for all road users.

This is a 3½ hour course, which can be combined with any of our other 3½ hour modules to complete the required 7 hours of Driver CPC training.

The course includes:

  • Introduction to the Highway Code
  • Road users
  • Updates to the Highway Code
  • Lesser known Highway Code facts
  • Spotting hazards
  • Signals, signs and road markings
  • So you think you know the Highway Code

Course Objective

When it comes to the road, it is important that all users have a good knowledge of the current Highway Code, including an awareness of hazards and how to respond to them. This course is a comprehensive review of the Highway Code, including any recent changes or additions which have been made.
