Driver Hire Newcastle & Sunderland are looking to recruit a night shift warehouse operative for our largest clients peak requirements in the run up to Christmas.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for full time hours and consistent work in the run up to the festive period.
The successful candidates will play a vital part in ensuring the operation runs like clockwork. Assisting with the unloading of retail stock and click and collect parcels from HGV vehicles arriving at the distribution centre on a daily basis. Stock will then need to be allocated to the correct locations within the warehouse to ensure a fluid picking process, in preparation for them being delivered to a nationally recognised retailer in the area. Warehouse experience would be advantageous but not essential.
A typical working week will consist of working any 5 day out of 6 between Sunday to Friday, with the flexibility to work 6 days a week to meet the needs of the business. This position is an immediate start with shifts starting at 21:30 and finishing at 06:00.
Rates of pay will vary depending on the day and time. Any hours worked on a Sunday will be paid at £20.50 per hour, with the night rate during the week being paid at £14.50 per hour.
