We are looking for a temp to perm Van Driver to start immediately for our client based in Dunstable. This role is long distance driving on either a luton van or a low loader van.
Start Times:
Monday to Friday 07:00AM
As a Van Driver you must:
- Have Category B License
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Van Driver due to client insurance purposes
- Have no more than 6 points on your licence
- Knowledge of strapping down the load
- Experience driving luton vans
- Have a Sat Nav
- Have Safety Boots & Hi Vis
Van Driver responsibilities include:
- Make deliveries of up to 14 cylinders through long distance driving. Some routes cover Skegness, Brighton, Portsmouth and London
- Follow the client’s routing system
- Good Communication with the depot and customers whilst out on deliveries
- Knowledge of bridge heights
- Be quick on your feet
The successful Van Driver can expect:
- Agency pay for the first 12 weeks (60 shifts) – £13.68 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
- The successful candidate will then go on a full time contract with client of 40 hours per week plus overtime after 40 hours (salary £26,028.20 )
- 24 days annual leave plus bank holiday (3 days must be taken between Christmas and New Year)
