🚐 Minibus Driver – Ad Hoc Summer Work 🚐

💷 £13.50 per hour
⏰ Approx. 20 hours per week (Monday–Friday, flexible/ad hoc)
Driver Hire Edinburgh West is recruiting caring and dependable Minibus Drivers to support a local transport provider on an ad hoc basis throughout the summer.
This is a fulfilling role, helping older passengers travel safely to and from local day centres, enabling them to stay active, independent, and connected within their community.
The Role
- Safely transport passengers between home addresses and local day centres
- Deliver a friendly, respectful, and supportive service
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any issues
- Ensure the minibus remains clean, safe, and roadworthy
Working Hours
- Ad hoc summer work (hours are not guaranteed)
- Monday to Friday availability preferred
- Typical shift patterns:
- Morning: approx. 8:00am – 10:00am
- Afternoon: approx. 2:00pm – 4:00pm
- Hours may vary depending on service needs
What You’ll Need
- Category D1 licence (no 101 restriction)
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital tachograph card
- PVG Disclosure dated within the last 3 years
- Strong communication and people skills
- A patient, professional, and compassionate approach
- Maximum of 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
- No CD, DD, DR, or IN endorsements
