Driver Hire Newcastle & Sunderland are currently recruiting a class 2 driver on a temp to perm for an immediate start for their client based in Gateshead.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a full time permanent position with a nationally recognised steel stockholder.
Standard hours consist of working Monday to Friday, 06:00am until 15:00pm, with the opportunity to pick up overtime a possibility.
The successful candidate would receive an induction on arrival on their first day, followed by two days of being doubled up with one of their own drivers, who will provide support and assistance to ensure the successful candidate is comfortable in the role.
Role Requirements
- Category C (LGV2) entitlement on their licence
- Valid DCPC qualification and digital tachograph
- Experience in the steel industry is essential
Pay and Hours
- Typical working day consists of working 06:00am to 15:00pm Monday to Friday with a 1 hour break
- Overtime is a possibility with enhanced rates after 8hrs
- Basic pay is £14.75 per hour.
