Driver Hire Blackburn is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Refuse Collection Driver to work with a leading waste management and business recycling company based in Blackburn.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking Class 2 Driver looking for ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position with a well-established employer.

♻️ The Role

As a Class 2 Refuse Collection Driver, you will be responsible for collecting commercial and business waste from customers across Blackburn and the surrounding areas.

Working alongside a team of loaders, you will ensure collections are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.

Typical duties include:

• Driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
• Completing scheduled commercial waste and recycling collections.
• Working closely with loaders and collection crews.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Ensuring all collections are completed safely and on time.
• Operating within residential, industrial and commercial environments.
• Completing paperwork and electronic records as required.
• Adhering to all driver hours and road transport regulations.

• Monday to Friday
• Early morning starts
• Full-time hours
• Ongoing work
• Temp to Perm opportunity for the right candidate

✅ Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.
• Experience within waste management, refuse collection, recycling or multi-drop operations advantageous.
• Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, professional and customer-focused attitude.
