Driver Hire Shepton Mallet is recruiting for a Class 2 Tipper Driver to work with a fantastic, long-standing client based in Felton, BS48. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV driver who takes pride in safe working, enjoys variety, and is looking for a long-term role with development opportunities.
The role will initially involve dry aggregate deliveries, with additional training provided to support progression onto asphalt work. Health and safety is at the forefront of this role every day, so we are looking for a reliable, safety-focused driver who understands the importance of operating responsibly on site, on the road and around customers.
The Role
As a Class 2 Tipper Driver, your duties will include:
Driving a Class 2 tipper vehicle delivering dry aggregates
Completing deliveries to customer sites, construction sites and client locations
Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects promptly
Following site rules, customer procedures and health and safety requirements at all times
Operating with care around site traffic, pedestrians, plant machinery and other hazards
Maintaining a professional standard of driving and communication throughout the day
Completing relevant paperwork and delivery documentation accurately
Taking part in additional training to support future asphalt delivery work
Successful candidates will complete a driver training day to familiarise themselves with the relevant vehicle, working procedures and site expectations before starting the role.
What We Offer
Weekly PAYE pay between £16.00 and £18.50 per hour

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
A valid UK Class 2 / Category C licence
Minimum 6 months’ Class 2 driving experience
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
Ability to drive both automatic and manual HGV vehicles
Minimum age of 23, due to insurance requirements
A strong commitment to health and safety
A professional, reliable and flexible approach
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
Previous tipper experience is beneficial, but training will be provided for the right candidate
