Driver Hire Lincoln is recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver for a long-term, ongoing rubbish and scrap collection role based in Lincoln.
Location: Lincoln
Start Date: Immediate
Working Pattern
- Guaranteed 38.5 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- 06:45 starts
- Finishes at 15:00 Monday to Thursday and 14:30 on Fridays
- Long-term ongoing position
Pay & Benefits
- £14.80 per hour
- £22.20 per hour for any hours worked over 7.5 per day
- Guaranteed 7.5 hours’ pay per shift
- Weekly PAYE pay every Friday

The Role
- Complete scheduled rubbish and scrap collections throughout Lincoln and the surrounding areas.
- Drive and safely manoeuvre a Class 2 tail lift vehicle along designated collection routes.
- Work alongside a driver’s porter who will assist with collections.
- Carry out manual handling of bulky household and commercial waste, including items such as sofas, washing machines, and other large appliances.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and follow all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
- Own transport to travel to and from the depot.
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out heavy manual handling.
- Hi-vis clothing and safety boots are required.
