HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C)

Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for clients across the UB postcode area, including Uxbridge, Hayes, Greenford and West Drayton.

IMPORTANT: All work is temporary and ad hoc. Shifts are not guaranteed.

• £17.51 – £20.50 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)
• Weekly pay
• Guaranteed 8 hours’ pay per shift
• Overtime paid after 9 hours (breaks unpaid)

The Role:

• Local and M25 deliveries, including multi-drop (up to 10 drops)
• Deliveries for builders’ merchants, scaffolding companies, events, film/TV and catering companies
• Secure loads using ratchet straps and ensure safe transportation
• Complete vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
• Provide excellent customer service and follow road safety regulations

Requirements:

• Full UK manual CAT C licence held for at least 2 years
• Valid CPC and Digital Tacho card
• Aged 25+ for insurance purposes
• Maximum 6 points (no DR, DD, TT, IN or MS90 endorsements)
• Minimum 1 year’s Class 2 experience (references required)
• Physically fit for occasional heavy lifting
• Good communication and customer service skills
