Driver Hire Edinburgh City are looking for experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support one of our long-standing clients based at their Edinburgh East and West depots.
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for flexible, ad hoc work, whether you’re looking to earn extra income alongside your current job or simply want weekend and holiday cover shifts.
🚚 The Role
- Driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle on multi-drop delivery routes
- Working alongside a driver’s mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading goods as required
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Delivering products safely, on time and to a high standard
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
💷 Pay Rates
PAYE
- £15.95 per hour
- £23.93 per hour after 8 hours and on Saturdays
- £31.91 per hour on Sundays and Bank Holidays
PAYE Advanced
- £17.88 per hour
- £26.81 per hour after 8 hours and on Saturdays
- £35.76 per hour on Sundays and Bank Holidays
✅ Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift
✅ Weekly pay
✅ Overtime available
✅ What You’ll Need
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum of 9 penalty points
- No DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements
- Happy to carry out manual handling duties
- Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred
- Reliable, professional and customer-focused approach
