HGV Class 2 Shunter Driver – Edinburgh

£14.75 per hour | 4 on 4 off | 12-hour shifts

Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client in Edinburgh on a 4 on 4 off rota, starting as soon as possible.

This is a shunting role, ideal for someone looking for steady work with minimal manual handling.

The Role

  • Shunting vehicles over a short distance between locations
  • 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off rota
  • Vehicles are loaded and unloaded for you, so there is very little physical work involved
  • No long-distance driving
  • Working as part of a team and following site procedures
  • Opportunity for ongoing work for the right driver

Pay & Hours

  • £14.75 per hour
  • 12-hour shifts
  • 4 days on / 4 days off

Requirements

  • Full HGV Class 2 (C) licence
  • Minimum 24 years old due to insurance requirements
  • Minimum 6 months’ HGV Class 2 driving experience
  • Maximum 6 penalty points, with no more than 3 points for any single offence
  • No DD, DR, DG, CD or IN endorsements
  • Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good understanding of drivers’ hours and road safety
  • Reliable, punctual and professional
  • Good communication skills
