DriverHire Bridgwater & Taunton are recruiting on behalf of a long-standing client for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor.
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting Health & Safety across a busy operational environment and multiple locations.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent recognised H&S qualification
Previous experience working in a Health & Safety Advisor, H&S Officer or similar role
Experience carrying out risk assessments and workplace/site inspections
Experience investigating accidents, incidents or near-misses
Good working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
Strong written communication and report-writing skills
Confidence communicating H&S requirements to employees and managers
Ability and willingness to travel between company sites

Key Responsibilities
Conduct risk assessments and workplace inspections.
Review and maintain Health & Safety procedures.
Investigate incidents and near-misses.
Identify corrective actions and areas for improvement.
Support managers and employees with H&S guidance.
Produce reports and maintain safety documentation.
Help promote a proactive safety-first culture across the business.
Travel between operational sites as required.
Desirable
First Aid qualification.
Experience delivering Health & Safety training.
Experience with root cause analysis.
Previous experience within a fast-paced operational, industrial, logistics, engineering or similar environment.
Salary
£35,000–£38,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
