Driver Hire Bridgwater & Taunton are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 / Cat C Driver to join one of our clients based near Highbridge on a temp-to-perm basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and professional driver looking for regular Monday to Friday work, with the potential to secure a permanent role if successful.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering specialist items to major sporting events across the South West and throughout the UK.
This is not a multi-drop role. The work usually involves one delivery and one collection from the same event site, with minimal handballing required. You will be operating either a tail lift vehicle or a curtainsider, depending on the requirements of the job.
Duties will include:
Driving a Class 2 / Cat C vehicle
Delivering specialist items to major sporting event locations
Completing collections from the same site once events have finished
Operating a tail lift or curtainsider safely and professionally
Completing vehicle checks and relevant paperwork
Working independently and managing your day professionally
Representing the client in a positive and professional manner
During busy periods, working hours may be longer depending on event schedules and operational requirements.
For around two weeks of the year, there may be a requirement to complete night work for certain events. This is very rare, but candidates must be flexible where needed.

Requirements
Applicants must have:
A valid Class 2 / Cat C licence
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
Minimum 2 years’ professional driving experience
A reliable and flexible approach to work
The ability and confidence to work on their own
Good communication and customer service skills
Availability to attend an interview during the week commencing 15th June
Availability to start work on Monday 22nd June
All candidates must be available to start on Monday 22nd June.
