Driver Hire is looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 HGV C+E Tramper Drivers to support our client in Bridgwater with general haulage work. This role will involve tramping for 5 nights per week, with the main shift pattern running Monday to Friday. Weekend work is also available, and some flexibility may be required around which days are covered.

The Role
As a Class 1 C+E Tramper Driver, your duties will include:
Carrying out general haulage deliveries across the UK
Working with a range of trailer types, including fridge units
Tramping for 5 nights per week
Trunk runs and trailer swaps
Starting shifts from 00:00, depending on the route and shift pattern
Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
Ensuring all loads are transported safely and professionally
Following drivers’ hours, tachograph, and road transport regulations
Maintaining excellent customer service at delivery and collection points
Please note: this role does not involve curtainsider work.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
Full UK Class 1 / HGV C+E licence
Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience
Valid CPC qualification
Valid Digital Tachograph card
Good understanding of drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations
A professional, reliable, and flexible approach to work
Previous tramping experience would be beneficial
