Driver Hire Nottingham & Newark are recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver to join our client at their concrete plant in Grantham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established construction materials business, with the potential to secure a permanent position.
You will be responsible for delivering concrete and construction materials throughout Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire, building positive relationships with customers and working closely with the transport team.
The Role
- Safely and efficiently deliver products to customers across the region.
- Work with the Distribution Team and Transport Manager to ensure deliveries run smoothly.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Complete vehicle checks and ensure all relevant delivery paperwork is accurate.
- Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Work flexibly to meet business needs, including occasional nights and weekends.
Pay & Benefits
- Assignment rate from £17.75 per hour.
- Daily overtime paid for any hours worked over 8 hours.
- Monday to Friday working.

Requirements
- Full UK Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and tachograph card.
- Previous HGV driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of the local area.
- Experience delivering concrete or aggregates is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- A positive, hardworking attitude and genuine interest in the construction materials industry.
- Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends.
