Driver Hire Gatwick is currently recruiting a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join one of our valued clients based in Crawley. If you’re looking for a varied role where you won’t be behind the wheel all day, but will also support the logistics team in the warehouse, this could be the job for you. For the right candidate, this could lead to a permanent opportunity.
This role offers variety, flexibility, and competitive pay, making it ideal for competent and qualified drivers looking for ongoing or permanent work where no two days are the same.
The Role
- Tuesday to Saturday from 04:00 am to 05:00 am start
- Delivering palletised wholesale frozen foods products
- Picking and Packing of orders
- Load and unload goods and track inventory and stock
- Conducting daily vehicle checks in line with Health & Safety requirements
- Ensuring compliance with driver hours and road safety regulations
- Safe loading and unloading of goods
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse
About You
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Forklift certificate preferable
- HGV and Warehouse experience
- No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements: CD/IN/DR/TT)
- Able to operate vehicles safely and responsibly
- Comfortable ensuring loads are secure at all times
- PPE required: Hi-Vis and Safety Boots
- Own transport required to commute to and from the depot
- Must comply with all on-site health and safety procedures
Location
- Crawley (drivers must live within 20 miles)
