Driver Hire is recruiting for experienced Class 1 HGV C+E PM Shift Drivers for work based in Bridgwater, starting on 1st June.
We are looking for a couple of reliable drivers for a straightforward vehicle movement role, transporting vehicles between two sites in the South West. The work will involve moving Class 1 vehicles with empty trailers, Class 1 vehicles without trailers, and Class 2 rigid vehicles.
There are no deliveries, no handballing, and no long-distance runs. This role is ideal for drivers who are confident moving different types of HGV vehicles safely between sites.
The Role
Driving Class 1 HGV C+E vehicles on PM shifts
Moving Class 1 vehicles with empty trailers
Moving Class 1 vehicles without trailers
Moving Class 2 rigid vehicles between sites
Vehicle movements between two sites in the South West
No deliveries
No handballing
No long runs
Completing daily vehicle checks
Following site procedures and road safety regulations
Working Sunday to Thursday
Start time of 4:00pm, finishing around midnight
What We Offer

Requirements
Full UK Class 1 HGV C+E licence
Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
Minimum 1 year’s Class 1 driving experience
Confident driving both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles
Good understanding of driver hours and road transport regulations
Reliable, punctual and professional approach
Based in or able to commute to Bridgwater
