Driver Hire Sudbury are currently recruiting for Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our team.
Our clients are based across the CO postcode; Sudbury, Halstead etc. They require drivers to cover busy periods, sickness and holiday.
This a temporary, adhoc role, part time shifts available initally with potential for full time shifts.

Class 2 LGV shifts pay rate starts at £16.25 p/h weekday, Monday to Friday day work,
Class 1 LGV shifts pay rate starts at £17.37 p/h weekday, Monday to Friday day work,
Nights £21.00 – £23.00 p/h
PAYE only – not umbrella – not LTD
Job Details:
- Variety and flexibility. Opportunities to work for a variety of clients, no two weeks are the same. Choose your availability on a weekly bases and pick up work when it suits you.
- Start times vary 04:00 and 07:00 AM.
- Mainly Monday to Friday Day work, however nights are available
- Trunking, General haulage, Curtain siders, Flat bed, Refrigerated trailers, Builders merchants, palletised deliveries ETC
- Local and regional deliveries,
- Completing vehicle checks and ensuring full compliance with tachograph and driving regulations
- Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach

Requirements:
- Must have your own transport to travel to and from work.
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence or Class 2 (CAT C) licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.
- No More then 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, or similar endorsements).
- Must have appropriate PPE, including steel toe cap boots (Hi-Vis provided by Driver Hire).
- Must be able to work with both paper-based and PDA-based delivery systems.
- 2 yrs experience preferred but not essential

- Flexible and able to adapt to different routes and delivery schedules.
*Pay above is inclusive of holiday pay at 12.07%, other options for accruing holiday please ask.
