Driver Hire Edinburgh City are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well-established flour distribution company in Edinburgh.
Looking for regular weekday work with the chance to go permanent? This temp-to-perm role offers full-time hours, consistent work and the opportunity to secure a permanent position with the client.
🌾 The Role
- Deliver flour safely to commercial customers and sites.
- Carry out vehicle checks and ensure loads are secure.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
- Follow road safety, transport legislation and health & safety procedures.
- Maintain a professional and reliable service.
🕒 Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, full-time.
- Minimum 40 hours per week.
- Variable start times depending on deliveries.
- Overtime opportunities available.
- Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift.
💷 Pay Rates
PAYE
- £15.50 per hour
- £20.66 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
- £17.37 per hour
- £23.15 per hour after 8 hours

✅ Essential Requirements
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 1 driving experience.
- Maximum 9 penalty points.
- No DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements.
- Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach.
- Comfortable with the physical demands of the role.
⚠️ Drug and alcohol testing may take place during induction and randomly throughout employment.
📍 Location
Edinburgh – suitable for drivers based in or around Haddington, Tranent, Prestonpans, Musselburgh, Dunbar, East Lothian and Midlothian.
