Driver Hire Newcastle are looking for class 1 HIAB driver covering ad-hoc requirements for one of our clients based in the Newcastle area.
Your day to day role will start at 6am and includes delivering offsite manufactured roof cassettes; they are typically loaded in stacks up to 3 tonne in weight and dimensions of up to 6 metres x 3 metres. You will mostly only have 1 drop per day because of the load, this can be local or distance runs.
Experience is preferred but not essential.
This is a temporary position covering sickness and holidays, but opportunities to pick up permanent employment is a possibility.
Requirements
- Category C+E (LGV1) entitlement on the driving licence
- Valid CPC and digital tachograph
- Valid HIAB accreditation with hook attachment
Rate of pay is £17.25 for the first 8hrs, followed by £23.00 per hour after 8hrs for any overtime.
