We are looking for a reliable and professional Class 2 HGV Recovery Truck Driver to join our team based in Blackpool.

The role involves attending breakdowns and recovery jobs, safely loading and transporting vehicles, and providing a professional service to customers at the roadside.

The Role

Your duties will include:

• Attending vehicle breakdowns and recovery jobs
• Safely loading, securing and transporting vehicles
• Carrying out vehicle recoveries in a safe and professional manner
• Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Keeping recovery vehicles and equipment clean and serviceable
• Completing relevant job paperwork and records accurately
• Communicating professionally with customers, control staff and other road users
• Following company procedures and all relevant health and safety requirements

Requirements

Applicants should have:

• A valid Category C / Class 2 HGV licence
• A valid Driver CPC
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A good driving record
• Good communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work independently and use good judgement at the roadside
• A reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
• Proven HGV Recovery history and references

Previous vehicle recovery, roadside assistance or transporter experience is essential
