We are currently recruiting experienced Van Drivers to join a large parcel delivery operation as a Parcel Shop Driver.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous van-driving experience who is confident using scanners, following delivery routes and working to time-sensitive schedules.
The Role
As a Parcel Shop Driver, your main responsibility will be to:
Collect parcels from designated parcel shop and drop-off points.
Use handheld scanners to scan and process parcels correctly.
Follow designated routes and collection schedules.
Ensure parcels are collected safely and returned to the depot.
Prepare collected parcels for their onward journey.
Complete all collections efficiently and within the required timeframes.
Maintain a professional and reliable service at all times.
Working Hours & Pay
Guaranteed 4-day working week
Option to work additional days when available.
Shifts can be up to 10 hours, with a maximum working day of 11 hours.
Start times are between 8:00am and 8:45am, depending on the shift.
£14.25–£15.97 per hour, depending on shift time and experience.
Weekly pay.
Training Provided
successful candidates will complete:
1 full day of paid induction training on site.
A further 2 days of paid, double-manned training while carrying out the role alongside an experienced driver.
The successful candidate will have:
Previous van-driving experience.
Experience using handheld scanners or similar delivery technology.
Experience following routes and working to scheduled collection times.
A good understanding of time management.
A reliable, professional and hardworking attitude.
The ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of service.
