🚚 Driver’s Mate / Furniture Delivery Assistant
💷 £13.00 per hour
Immediate start available – Wednesday 22nd September
Driver Hire Edinburgh West is currently recruiting reliable and hardworking Driver’s Mates to join our client’s furniture delivery team.
You’ll be working alongside a van driver to deliver flat-pack furniture directly to customers’ homes, helping to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
🚚 The Role
- Assist the van driver with delivering flat-pack furniture to residential properties.
- Load, unload and carry furniture into customers’ homes.
- Work as part of a team to ensure deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service at every delivery.
- Ensure furniture is handled carefully and delivered to the correct locations.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Previous delivery or manual handling experience is desirable.
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting on a daily basis.
- A positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to help wherever needed.
📅 Working Pattern
You will work one of the following schedules:
- Sunday to Wednesday
- Wednesday to Saturday
⏰ Hours will be discussed at interview.
📅 11-week temp-to-perm opportunity – potential for permanent employment.
1-hour unpaid lunch break provided each working day.
