Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently looking for experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support one of our long-standing clients across their Edinburgh East and West depots.
This is a great opportunity for drivers looking for flexible, ad-hoc work, whether you’re looking to earn some extra income alongside your current job or want to pick up weekend and holiday cover shifts.
🚚 The Role
You’ll be working on multi-drop delivery routes, helping to ensure goods are delivered safely and on time.
Duties will include:
- Driving a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle on multi-drop delivery routes
- Working alongside a Driver’s Mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading goods where required
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Delivering products safely, on time and to a high standard
- Providing professional and friendly customer service at delivery locations
💷 Pay Rates
PAYE
- £15.95 per hour
- £23.93 per hour after 8 hours and on Saturdays
- £31.91 per hour on Sundays and Bank Holidays
PAYE Advanced
- £17.88 per hour
- £26.81 per hour after 8 hours and on Saturdays
- £35.76 per hour on Sundays and Bank Holidays

✅ What We’re Looking For
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum 9 penalty points
- No DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements
- Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred
- Comfortable carrying out manual handling duties
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Good communication and customer service skills
