Class 2 Refuse & Recycling Driver based in Barnstaple. Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm
Job Description
Class 2 driver to drive a refuse & recycling vehicle, this is a hands on position which will require physical work and heavy lifting. You’ll be collecting bins and recycling from around the local area to ensure the communities are kept clean and tidy.

£16.61 per hour, PAYE Advance Other PAYE models are available.
Key Responsibilities

Driving a Class 2 Cat C refuse vehicle on planned waste and recycling collection routes

Assisting the collection crew with loading, moving and emptying bins

Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects

Completing route paperwork and delivery documentation accurately

Following all health and safety procedures, site rules and driver hours regulations

Working closely with the wider team to ensure collections are completed efficiently

Carrying out manual handling duties as part of the collection process
Qualifications
Essential:
- Valid Category C Class 2 HGV licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Ability to travel to the Barnstaple depot for early morning starts
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling duties
- Mobile phone for communication with the team
