Driver Hire Bournemouth & Salisbury are recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver for a 3-month temporary contract based in Andover.

This is a great opportunity for a reliable Class 1 driver looking for regular Monday-to-Friday work, mainly day runs, with an immediate start available.

The role

You’ll be driving a 44-tonne articulated vehicle, collecting recyclable waste materials from customer sites and returning them to the recycling site in Andover.

Your main duties will include:

• 🚛 Driving a 44-tonne articulated vehicle
• ♻️ Collecting recyclable materials from customer sites
• 📍 Delivering loads back to Andover
• 📅 Working Monday to Friday, mainly on day runs
• 🛏️ Occasional nights out if delays prevent you returning to base
• 🤝 Providing a professional and friendly service to customers

What you’ll need

• Valid HGV Class 1 / Category C+E licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid digital tachograph card
• Previous Class 1 driving experience
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently
• Comfortable dealing directly with customers

Experience in recycling, waste management, skips, walking-floor or similar operations is useful but not essential.
