Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers on behalf of a leading client operating from both their Edinburgh East and Edinburgh West depots.

🕒 Current Opportunities

📍 Edinburgh West Depot – Flexible Shifts

• Ad hoc work available throughout the week
• Typical start times from 7:00am
• Ideal for drivers seeking flexibility and additional income
• Regular shifts available based on operational requirements

📍 Edinburgh East Depot – Ongoing Full-Time Role

• Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts
• Consistent 8:00am start times
• Long-term work with the potential for permanent employment
• Reliable weekly hours

➕ Additional shifts may be available across both depots as business demands increase.

🚚 The Role

• Operating a Class 2 vehicle on multi-drop delivery routes
• Working alongside a driver’s mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading products as required
• Conducting daily vehicle safety inspections and defect reporting
• Ensuring deliveries are completed on time and to a high standard
• Providing excellent customer service at customer premises

💰 Pay Rates

PAYE

• £14.70 per hour
• £19.60 per hour after 8 hours

PAYE Advanced

• £16.47 per hour
• £21.96 per hour after 8 hours

✅ Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift
✅ Weekly pay
✅ Overtime opportunities available
✅ Ongoing and long-term work available

✅ Requirements

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph card
• Maximum of 9 penalty points
• No DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements
• Comfortable with manual handling duties
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred
• Reliable, professional, and customer-focused attitude
