Driver Hire Darlington are currently recruiting an experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Mixer Driver for ongoing work with a leading local concrete supplier in the Darlington area.
This role is ideal for Class 2 Mixer Drivers who are comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment and confident operating mixer vehicles.
The Role for a Class 2 Mixer Driver:
- Delivering ready-mix concrete to construction sites and commercial customers
- Operating a Class 2 cement mixer vehicle, including safe discharge of loads on site
- Completing 5–10 deliveries per shift depending on demand and location
- Ensuring correct slump and safe pouring in line with site requirements
- Daily vehicle checks and accurate completion of delivery paperwork
- Working closely with site staff and maintaining a professional manner at all times
Shift Details for a Class 2 Mixer Driver:
- Monday to Friday with early starts (typically 06:00 – 07:00)
- Occasional Saturday shifts available
- Average shift length: 8–10 hours per day
Requirements of a Class 2 Mixer Driver:
- Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous cement mixer experience preferred (training may be provided for the right candidate)
- Good understanding of construction site safety
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused
