Driver Hire is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV C+E Drivers for work based in Yeovil.
This is a great opportunity for reliable, professional Class 1 drivers looking for ongoing work, with the potential of temp-to-perm opportunities for successful candidates within some roles. This role involves bulk deliveries to commercial sites, with no handball required, as all loads are forklifted on and off.
The Role
As a Class 1 HGV C+E Driver, your duties may include:
Driving Class 1 HGV C+E vehicles safely and professionally
Day shifts starting from 7:00am
Delivering bulk goods to commercial sites
No handball — all loads are forklift loaded and unloaded
Completing daily vehicle checks
Ensuring paperwork and delivery notes are completed accurately
Providing excellent customer service while representing Driver Hire and our client
Following all road transport, driver hours and health and safety regulations

Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
A valid Class 1 HGV C+E licence
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
Minimum 1 year’s Class 1 driving experience due to insurance requirements
Be aged 25 or over due to insurance requirements
A reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
Good communication and customer service skills
Good knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations
