Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and hard-working 7.5t Driver to join a busy waste removal team. This is a physical, hands-on role that requires someone who is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and is confident operating a 7.5 tonne vehicle on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the collection and transportation of bulk waste materials
- Loading and unloading waste by hand and using appropriate equipment
- Carrying out pre-use vehicle checks and defect reporting in line with legal requirements
- Assisting with the manual handling and segregation of waste materials
- Ensuring all waste is handled, transported and disposed of in accordance with current waste regulations and duty of care legislation
- Completing relevant paperwork including waste transfer notes and consignment notes
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment at all times
- Liaising with site managers, customers and team members professionally
Requirements
- Valid Category C1 licence (7.5 tonne)
- Driver CPC qualification card (DQC)
- Valid digital tachograph card
- Good level of physical fitness — manual handling involved
- Strong time management and communication skills
