Meet The Team

As a people business, we thought you might like to know a bit more about the people you will be dealing with when you contact us.

Ian Leadbeater

Ian Joined Driver Hire originally as a LGV2 Driver back in 2004. After a year of driving Ian progressed to a role as a consultant in 2005. Ian did this until 2009 when he took the big step with Rob, and bought Driver Hire Sheffield. The business has seen several years of growth thanks to the hard work and customer relations Ian has built up with our clients in south Yorkshire over the years.

Robert Leek

Robert joined Driver Hire after years in the logistics industry. He worked alongside Ian also as a consultant before they bought Driver Hire Sheffield. Rob's role within the business is payroll and accounts. Having the important role of making sure drivers are paid correctly and on time. He also manages our social media presence on the web

Anne Hewgill

Anne joined the Sheffield team in May 2010 after working successfully at the Doncaster office for many years. Anne brings with her a wealth of experience within the logistics sector having once been a driver herself. As office manager it's Anne's duty to make sure the running of the office goes smoothly whilst managing the team.

Carl Swift

Carl joined the business in July 2015 after working in the leisure industry in a customer service focused role. Carl is new to the recruitment sector but has quickly found his feet in becoming ‘the face’ of Driver Hire Sheffield. Adapting his customer service experience in a more sales focused role, while also using his experience, working with Jade to make sure existing client contact is maintained.

Elisha Bowen

Elisha joined the team in August 2016 through the apprentice scheme. Elisha’s role is focused towards registering new drivers and making sure all our compliance obligations are met with regards to audits, ISO, licence checking and eligibility to work in the UK for all new registrations. Although not currently in a sales role, Elisha’s role is important. Giving clients piece of mind that the staff we supply have been vetted correctly, they have the correct skills for the role and they have been assessed to make sure they are aware of the current regulations. .
