Now operating in its 21st year in St. Clements, which is situated between Headington and the City Centre. Operated by Lorraine Thompson and her team they are fully experienced in dealing with all the facts of the leading progressive Driving Agency in Oxford for both temporary and permanent positions.

As a team, all members of the Oxford Office are committed to maintaining a very high level of service. This is indicated by the fact that we offer a genuine, personal 24 hour, 7 days a week service. There is no answer phone or call centre, we can be reached on 01865 798 998.

Lorraine Thompson - Franchisee

Lorraine recently celebrated 21 years as the Franchisee of the Driver Hire Oxford office. During that time she has seen the business grow so that Oxford has been a top ten office in the Driver Hire network for the past 16 years and in 2011 was awarded the title of bfa HSBC Franchisee Regional Winner South West & South Wales, and winning the Driver CPC Training Award twice in the last three years

Besides being a busy franchisee Lorraine is a busy mother with her two children taking up all her valuable spare time, no doubt ensuring that she is always on her toes!


Majid Shafiq – Office Manager

Majid who is better known as 'Maj' joined our office team as one of our Recruitment Consultants in May 2006, he took over the day to day smooth running of the office and has changed roles to become the Office Manager. Before that he was one of our successful 7.5T drivers, a role which has proved to be most beneficial when he is allocating bookings and talking to clients.

As well as being the Office Manager, Maj is also fully entrenched as the Driver CPC Trainer for the office he has certainly found his niche as the courses, which he has conducted, have all been very favourably received.

Originally from Walthamstow in East London, Maj still retains his interest in 'Arsenal Football Club' although he denies that he is a supporter of the 'Pakistani Cricket team!'

Pawel Palusinski – Recruitment Coordinator

Pawel has recently joined our Recruitment Team 

His responsibilities at Driver Hire Oxford include contacting prospective Clients with a view to extolling the virtues of DCPC training, going on 24 hour call and interviewing new drivers. In a very short space of time Pawel has proved to be a hardworking individual and has made a huge impact on the Driver CPC training courses, helping the office to win the in-house Driver CPC training award for the second time in three years. Pawel also deals with permanent placements and has recently had a lot of success in placing many candidates in and around the Oxfordshire area

Thomas  - Assistant Administrator

Thomas joined Driver Hire Oxford originally as an Apprentice when he left college in 2012. His role is based around the payroll and invoicing under the supervision of Maj. Thomas also undertakes Driver CPC duties, dealing with all aspects of Admin and updating the in-house TAS system. He also undertakes the processing of all dhLicence checks for clients and candidates. Thomas has found his experience in the office an enjoyable challenge, which has given him so many new skills to add to his CV


Tim Clifford - Contract Driver

Our top Class One driver, Tim has been with us since 2005.  He has continuously been building up his driving skills and adding to his licence categories; now having a huge amount of experience on HIAB, ADR and Moffett vehicles. Tim has 35 hours of Driver CPC training completed and continues with his personal HGV training as an ongoing commitment to maintain his professional qualification within the industry. Tim completed his Driver CPC qualification at Kirtlington Golf Club in Oxfordshire, with Maj as his trainer.


Ken Saunders & Andrew Hathaway - Minibus Drivers

Helping us get our teams of staff to and from places of work is what they are  best at. Their main role is to drive our 17 seater minibus ensuring staff arrive for work promptly in and around Oxfordshire.
