Truckfest is back – and Driver Hire’s first in line!

After last year’s devastating cancellation of events due to the coronavirus pandemic, we were delighted to hear that the action-packed Truckfest shows were back on the agenda for 2021!

Amanda Jeffries, owner of Driver Hire Wisbech, has attended countless Truckfest events in the past and was keen to represent Driver Hire at the Truckfest Peterborough show once again from Saturday 28th – Monday 30th August.

Eager to get back with her team members Lloyd and Fred, Amanda said, “we are finally coming out of the other side of the pandemic. Now that the rules have been relaxed, we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than getting together to enjoy the festival.”

Extending the invitation to celebrate, Amanda has also rounded up fellow franchisees Michael and Jayne Anne O’Flynn (Driver Hire Grimsby), Gbola Laoshe (Driver Hire Bedford & Huntingdon), and Brian and Lin Kilroe who only recently bought the Driver Hire Peterborough franchise.

Looking forward to their first trucking festival, Brian and Lin have planned to cook a South African Braai (that’s a barbecue to you and me) for their guests, so we’re hoping that the weather will be kind.

Truckfest is Europe’s largest trucking festival and has been delivering family-friendly, action-packed shows since 1983. You’ll find the latest trucks from leading manufacturers, shows in the Main Arena with Swamp Thing and Broke FMX, hundreds of trade stands, fun fair rides, live music, celebrity guests and some great food and drink stands too.

Flying the flag for Driver Hire, Amanda said, “The festivals are always very friendly and informal. We’re really looking forward to chatting with drivers and customers from all over the country and talking to them about how we work and what we offer. Whether it’s driving work they’d like to discuss, Driver CPC training, driver risk management service such as dh Licence Check or anything else driving-related, we can help”.

“The gates open on Super Saturday, 28 August at 12:00 and the show runs until we all collapse from exhaustion in the afternoon of Monday 30th! Look out for the black marquee, lots of flags and a car with a giant Driver Hire logo on the bonnet – because we don’t do subtle! We have an excellent site, facing the main arena so you should be able to find us!”
